Change doesn't wait— we make it.

Lewiston is ready for progress. These are the policies Kiernan is fighting for to protect our neighbors, defend our democracy, and ensure every Mainer can thrive.

  • Cost of Living

  • Immigrant Rights

  • Affordable Housing

  • Climate Change

  • Artificial Intelligence

Cost of Living

Kiernan understands how expensive it is just to get by. He will work to lower the cost of living and raise wages to help working Mainers. As a state lawmaker, Kiernan will oppose energy price increases and support new clean energy projects to lower Mainers' electric bills. He'll also introduce legislation to raise the minimum wage to $20 per hour, because hard work deserves good pay.

Immigrant Rights

Immigrants are under attack from a lawless Trump administration, and Maine needs to do everything possible to fight back. Kiernan will support legislation to ban police and jails from cooperating with federal immigration enforcement and fight for a new policy to provide a free lawyer to every immigrant in Maine facing deportation proceedings.

Affordable Housing

As a renter, Kiernan knows how expensive it is to get decent housing in Maine. He'll work to lower the cost of housing by making it easier to build new, higher-density housing throughout the state. Kiernan will also support efforts to strengthen tenants' rights and sponsor a constitutional amendment establishing a right to housing.

Climate Change

Kiernan believes that climate change is the most serious threat facing the world today and that Maine must do its part to address the issue. He supports an immediate ban on coal as an energy source in Maine. Kiernan will also fight for free public buses across Maine and a passenger train from Portland to Lewiston, because public transportation is critical to reducing carbon pollution.

Artificial Intelligence

AI represents an unprecedented threat to our jobs and civil rights. Kiernan strongly opposes the Lewiston City Council's unanimous decision to install AI-powered surveillance cameras throughout the city and will introduce legislation to ban AI spy cameras statewide. He also supports an immediate moratorium on the construction of AI data centers in Maine.
